Azeroth is a brutal realm for the unprepared. On servers known as PVP-realms, world of warcraft gold not only are savage wildlife, vicious monsters and fell demons a threat, but enemy players from opposing realms can also kill you! This tactic is known as 'ganking', and while Blizzard does not condone it, they have done little to put a stop to it.

Player-vs-Player combat relies on a ranking ladder known as the honor system. Players who kill enemy players earn honor. The amount earned varies depending on the enemy player's level, rank and how much damage the player did. Honor is tallied once a week on Tuesdays, when the WOW servers are taken down for maintenance. All players who earned honor in the last week are then measured against each other, based on players of other ranks and the amount of honor they earned. Thus, a player's rank can change from week to week, depending on how much honor they earn, versus that of their fellow realm mates. The higher your rank, the more rewards you are given access to. These rewards can range from low-powered magical items, to epic gear comparable to that which can be found in Molten Core and Blackwing Lair!
